Built for my kids — who taught me what Comic-Con feels like.

One collector, one dad, one app. No team, no investors, no ads.

The story

I’m Andrei. My kids love Comic-Con. They love collecting, they love trading, and they love coming home with a stack of cards and figures and immediately arguing about which one was the steal of the day.

For a while I watched them try to figure that out with spreadsheets, screenshots, and a lot of mental math. Mom’s phone, dad’s phone, three tabs open per kid, a notebook on the kitchen table. They’d come back from a con with a page of pulls and spend the rest of the night trying to answer one question — “what should I trade this up to?” — and the tools they had to do it were terrible.

So I built rarix. I’m just the engineer dad who can build what they can dream. That’s the whole pitch. They wanted a way to scan a binder page and instantly know which cards mattered — what was valuable, what matched somebody’s wishlist, what was a good trade candidate, what was worth grading. I had a backend and a weekend. Here we are.

What I built them

  • Scan a binder pageOne photo, every card on the page, value + wishlist match + trade candidate + grade candidate — all at once. The kid-at-Comic-Con view.
  • Multi-binder vaultSeparate binders for separate stories. Pokemon binder, One Piece binder, the Funko shelf, the Pop Mart wall. Each one shareable on its own.
  • Tap phones, find fair tradesAt an event, two collectors tap phones and the app finds fair trades between their actual collections. My kids just thought a virtual collection would be cool. I went all out and built a spaceship.
  • Public showcase pagesSo they can flex the vault to their friends without handing anyone a login. Each binder gets a URL. That’s the whole flex.

What I don't do

No ads. Ever.I don’t want my kids’ binder app to be a billboard, and I don’t want yours to be either. Same rule for everyone.

No walled gardens on the sharing parts. Binders, scan, showcases, event-link trade matching, multi-market prices, basic grade-candidate triage — all the stuff that makes the kid-at-Comic-Con story work — free forever. See Why free →

Pro is a tip jar for the heavy lifting. Bulk binder-page scan, advanced grade-candidate reports, submission planner, exports — pay-per-use when it saves you an afternoon. Optional. Skip it forever if you want.
